Here's where the candidate stands on a range of issues

Education

• Require that 90% of the state funds be sent directly to the local school districts with out mandates
• Create an Educational Tax Credit for the state's Income Tax
• Prohibit student fees for UC and SCU students from being used for political purposes by student governments
• Ensure that Parents have a right to know what happens at schools and with their child's eduction
• Sunset Education code and require that we write a less burdensome one

Transportation

•  Require that Gas Taxes be used for road repair and construction
• Eliminate space-wasteful Diamond Lanes
• Cut the re-tape regulations that increase both the time and cost to repair our roads

Taxes

• Protect Props. 13 and 218
• Prohibit taxes from avoiding vote requirements by renaming them "fees"
• Oppose new and unfair taxes
• Support the repeal of the car tax
• Oppose new statewide bonds

Legislature Size

• Investigate increasing the size of the legislature (currently a state Senator represents more people then many U.S> Senators!)

Nursing homes

• Increase inspections
• Increase penalties for elder abuse
